Presenting... Lover Lover.

Since the undercover music scene is currently obsessed
with boy-girl duos (Sleigh Bells, Crystal Castles),
tons of them have been popping up everywhere;
only a few of them are actually listen-worthy, however,
one of them being UK lush pop act Lover Lover.
The duo have been hard at work, making their debut album
with Empire Of The Sun's Nick Littlemore on board.
Their first single, "Freebirds," which will be available
for purchase on May 2nd by Cross Keys Records,
is on YouTube now for viewers to buzz about.
The song has a French pop feel to it,
along with sprinkles of country and disco, and a beating bassline.
In short, it's damn good. So, believe me and listen below!

Presenting... Oh Land.

Born in Denmark, electro-pop singer Oh Land
didn't plan on becoming a singer when she was little;
She started attending ballet school at age 16.
After suffering from a back injury two years later, she
decided to try out something new: making music.
“The reason I started to dance in the first place was because of the music,” she says. “I started writing and recording, set up a little home studio at my home in Denmark… I started recording anything that would make a sound in my apartment.”
After getting discovered in her home country,
she signed a record deal and released her first mini-album, Fauna,
which features two of my favorite tunes by her;
the weird-as-hell "Numb,"
and the bass-heavy "Heavy Eyes."
After performing at the SXSW festival in 2009,
Epic Records signed her and last month,
she released a five-song EP, which features the
crazy-brilliant "Rainbow" (sorry for the bad quality.)
Now, with her self-titled, full-length debut album dropping
NEXT TUESDAY,
which is backed by her latest single, "Sun Of A Gun,"
Oh Land is ready to conquer the world
(with the help of Pharrell Williams!)

Sky Ferreira 's "Obsession" music video.

Upcoming senation Sky Ferreira premeired the music video
for her first U.S. single,
"Obsession," today on MTV.
I've known about Sky for a few months,
and this isn't the best song choice to try to crack the States.
(she's already had two European singles, "17" and "One," check them out!)
But we''ll see!
Check the video out below.
It features acting legend Michael Madsen.

NEW ARTIST to Watch: Dev.

Like Colette Carr and Natalia Kills,
up-and-coming singer Dev isn't known to many people.
She's the girl that sings the catchy-as-fuck chorus to Far*East Movement's most recent single,
"Like a G6,"
which recently entered the top 10 on the Hot 100.
Well, Dev has several songs of her own, even though she's not even signed to a label yet.
Her most popular hit, "Booty Bounce," is getting around to a few people.
Including myself.
The song is pretty good, and in the song, she represents a dirtier version of Ke$ha.
The music video premiered last month.
Watch it below!

More songs that are pretty listen-worthy "Just Another Day," and
"2Nite," featuring The Cataracs, who produce most of her music,
and were featured on "Like A G6," as well.
(Look for a post on them soon!)

I really hope for the best for her.
All she needs to blow up is a song by Dr. Luke!

SONG REVIEW: Natalia Kills- "Mirrors."

I have been discovering artists that have been rocking my world!
One of those is the trashy superstar Natalia Kills.
I first heard her back-from-the-dead killer track, "Zombie," and I have been hooked ever since.
Another song that was released as a buzz single, "Activate My Heart," is perfection.
But this record, which I label as "Just Dance 2010" but WAY better, "Mirrors," is the best yet.
I'm so excited for her debut album, which is supposed to be released next month.
Meanwhile, listen to MIRRORS!

SONG REVIEW: Colette Carr- "Back It Up."

A few days ago, I was shown this song by my best friend.
My jaw dropped.
Colette Carr has entered my world.
I guess not many people know who she is.
She doesn't have even have a Wikipedia.
But, I'm so glad I have been showed this goddess.

Her most popular song, "Back It Up," is killer.
I don't even know what to say.
In two words: almost perfect.
The only thing I don't like about the song is the dance break at the end of the song.
BUt, listen for youself and decided if she's as golden as I think.
