After ruining her chances at releasing her third studio album last year
by not doing publicity for her instant classic "Commander,"
as well as releasing mediocre single after single with no success,
Kelly Rowland is trying to re-vamp her career by "releasing"
a new Lil' Wayne-assisted single, "Motivation"
(it was leaked this morning, then she covered it up by officially releasing it.)
The R&B cut is a pretty good song, but she wont get very far with it
on the charts, even if Weezy loaned her a good verse.
It looks as if we have another Ciara situation on our hands;
Rowland could've released that album right after
"Commander," but she was too lazy, and now
after a string of hit-and-miss flop singles, it's too late to get the
mild success that she could have had. Now, if she releases
the delayed album, it will debut at the bottom of the Top 200,
and will only sell 12,000 copies in the first week.
Girl, if you don't step up NOW with that promotion,
you will have no luck.
Anyway,
HERE's "
Motivation."
