The Worst Albums of 2011.

The year has come to an end, and it is time to reveal my choices for

the BEST and WORST in music of the year.

I'm a believer in giving out the bad news first,

so here's the FIVE worst albums of 2011!

5. Dev's The Night The Sun Came Up

Even though it has yet to be released in the States yet (release date: January 10th,)

mother-to-be DEV's debut album is mediocre at best; there are a few standout tracks

("Kiss My Lips," "Dancing Shoes," and her only top 20 hit "In The Dark",)

but the remaining tracks drag the album down way into the dumps.

4. Lil' Wayne's Tha Carter VI

With almost one million copies sold in the first week of release, you'd think Lil' Wayne's seventh album would have been as good as 2008's Tha Carter III.

Think again.

3. T-Pain's RevolveЯ

After pushing the album back and changing the name numorous

times in two years, T-Pain seemed to have the right game plan...

until releasing the lead single, the gutwrenching, Lily Allen-sampling "5 'o Clock."

The entire album gives me the same feeling.

2. Nickelback's Here And Now

Come on, now. It's Nickleback.

1. Florence + the Machine's Ceremonials

Don't judge me before reading this: I'm a huge Florence Welch fan.

Lungs is on my list of favorite albums of the past ten years.

But Ceremonials... that's a completely different story.

The newly-revealed track, titled "No Bueno," is a bonafide hit that

dabbles heavily with the music genre of "moombahton,"

a reggae and electronic mix of whistles, horns, and synths.

Nadia is no stranger to the new movement, either;

her first Colours single, "Taking Over The Dancefloor,"

is similar to the new song.

Anyway, it's perfect, like usual when it comes to the pop star.

Kylie reveals newest single!

With the APHRODITE: LES FOLIES tour in full swing,

Queen of Pop Kylie Minogue has recently decided to put out a new

single: fan favorite "Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love)."

Along with the release, Kylie will be dishing out a remix EP for the track,

out on May 31st, and June 5th in the UK.

It will feature mixes from Nervo and Bimbo Jones, as well as

a live version of the tune, and a B-side (OMFG!), "Silence."

Simon Curtis releases new single.

After his last single, "Superhero,"

didn't get the great response he was looking for,

independent artist Simon Curtis released the second single

from his upcoming sophomore album, R∆.

The track's titled, "Flesh," and it is a 180 degree turn

from the last single. The bass-heavy, electronic beat alone makes the song

an instant favorite of mine, while the airy, Godney-esque vocals

are supreme to any guy in the music scene right now.

It's hands down the best song a guy has released in a WHILE.

With the success of their first top 10 hit, "Party Rock Anthem,"

and their sophomore album, Sorry For Party Rocking, dropping June 21st,

electro hop duo LMFAO have recently unveiled their next single:

the track's titled, "Champagne Showers," and it features one of my favorites,

Natalia Kills.

It is simply the perfect party song, with the guys holding their own,

and Natalia sounding like a heavily AutoTuned Fergie on the chorus,

while the beat is nothing less than thunderous.

I'm excited to see to how fast (or slow) this song rises up the charts,

as well as the upcoming album from the duo!

Jason DeRulo reveals latest music video.

The man behind "Whatcha Say," Jason DeRülo, is back.

The R&B star has recently premiered the music video for his newest single,

"Don't Wanna Go Home." I didn't post about the song

when it first was released last week because I simply despised it,

but after I listened to the track a few more times and watched the video (below),

I'm come to terms that it's good enough to be a hit on the charts,

and started to enjoy the simpleness of the song.

Anyway, the video accompanies the song pretty well, and features

the singer doing various dance routines with a few guys and girls,

including one with ex-Pussycat Dolls member Melody Thornton.

Colette Carr releases "Primo" music video.

One of my favorite artists, Colette Carr, has unveiled the music video

for her instant classic, "(We Do It) Primo."

The music video, which features a cameo from Frankmusik,

the song's producer and Cherrytree Records labelmate,

shows Colette enjoying her life walking down the street

and playing with green screens. It's great.

It's definitely a perfect music video: it's not too distracting,

but it's not boring in any way. Plus, the song is ridiculously excellent.

So watch it below now, and if you haven't

bought "Primo" on iTunes, do that right after.
